On the streets of glittering 1970s Las Vegas, the nineteen-year-old fortune teller wanders with empty pockets and an uncertain future. In 1999, an aspiring cartoonist, Miles, is hoping to get his braces off. While waiting for an art school acceptance, he goes to a graduation party and finds some strange and sudden changes in his jaw; and learns that his hunger for success is manifesting in uncontrollable ways.
